[StarBiz] Sharing best practices

A SEGi University lecturer from the Faculty of Business, Accounting and Management was recently sent on an academic exchange programme at the Abertay University in Dundee, Scotland.

Mehrunishah Begum or known as Nisha has been at SEGi for the last three years and teaches Entrepreneurship, Ethical Issues in Marketing and International Business.

She also teaches the Abertay/SEGi Dual Awards degree programme in partnership with Dr Alex Avramenko from the Dundee Business School. She is currently working towards a PhD.

“I’m honoured to visit Abertay through this academic exchange programme. Meeting the academicians at Abertay gave me an opportunity to share our best practices.

“Dr Avramenko and I have worked closely in the past but coming here to meet him in person and to experience the Abertay teaching environment firsthand has been really good,” she said.

This visit, she added, will have a significant impact on SEGi’s teaching and learning as well as serving as a platform for a research collaboration.

“I believe that our long standing relationship with Abertay University will be further strengthened with my visit,” she said.

Nisha also thanked Abertay University and SEGi University for giving her the opportunity to be sent on the exchange programme.
