SEGi University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Public Relations Malaysia (IPRM).

The deal is a platform for collaborative development between SEGi University and IPRM, which represents public relations practitioners in the country.

The Segi University chapter of the IPRM Student Association (IPRSMA) was formed after the signing ceremony. It saw the first batch of 49 students being awarded with membership cards.

The membership would make it easier for students to seek internship and gain exposure at public relations agencies.

The association received a contribution of RM1,000 from IPRM and RM2,280 from CD Group Communication, an advertising agency. Representing the university was chief student affairs officer Prof Datuk Dr Jamaludin Mohaiadin while Datuk Ibrahim Abdul Rahman, acted on behalf of IPRM.
