SEGi College Subang Jaya recently launched its own SCSJ Online Streaming Radio to share the latest songs and varsity happenings with five students specially handpicked to “chair” the deejay console.

DJ Tal (Talha – Faculty of Engineering and IT), DJ Fab (Fabien Santiago Kenel– American Degree Programme), DJ Becks (Rebekah Mui – Faculty of Education), DJ Nicole (Nicole Aldeth Main – Faculty of Creative Arts and Design) and DJ Push (Pushpanjali Mohanan – Faculty of Creative Arts and Design) were chosen because of their cheery disposition.

Also, their voices, bubbly personalities and their ability to engage with the audience made them instant “crowd pullers”.

DJ Fab said that he was thrilled to be representing the college while his fellow deejays were equally elated.

Programmes are managed by the Faculty of Creative Arts and Design and headed by Rosland Othman who is also producer.

SCSJ Radio executive producer Zharif Iskandar also schedules the slots for the deejays.

He is a Mass Communication lecturer at the university, while Broadcast Media lecturer Jayakanthan is audio technical supervisor.

With SCSJ Radio, the deejays hope that they will not only entertain, inspire and reach out to fellow Segians, but to a worldwide audience.

The objective is for SCSJ Radio to create its own unique identity with a great selection of songs and a good dose of campus news and views.
