[The Star] Food aid for students stranded in Sibu

SIBU: SEGi University medical students stranded here due to the movement control order (MCO) received food aid to help them through this trying times.

The food was sponsored by Sarawak United Peoples Party (SUPP).

The students from Sabah, Sarawak and the peninsula as well as from overseas are here undergoing clinical training in Sibu Hospital.

It is part of the medical programme.Bawang Assan SUPP chairman, Robert Lau Hui Yew, representing the party, distributed the meals to the students.

“The students are away from home and need some help during this MCO period, ” said SEGi University Faculty of Medicine dean Prof Dr Mohammad Raili Suhaili.

“On behalf of the medical students, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Lau and team for the generous and caring gesture, ” he said.
