SEGi College Penang has embarked on a journey towards producing Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) professionals to meet the requirements set by the Government and the industry.

The programme emphasises on outdoor learning. Therefore, SEGi works with several preschools and kindergartens to bring together children to participate in activities organised by its students.
The students recently organised the Little Einstein science fair in fulfilment of one of their subjects — Science for Young Children.
Attended by children from D’Monte Childcare and Development Centre, the event enabled the students to show their creativity by developing and preparing science props and educational tools for kids between the ages of four and six.
Lecturers will provide guidance for students to organise outdoor activities in parks or fields.
DECE students will also learn basic First Aid for Children taught by medical specialists.
This would enable graduates to be more assertive and address untoward incidents effectively before professional help arrives.
To equip students with the best knowledge, SEGi seeks to expand its collaboration with key industry players and organise more workshops and talks to provide a complete learning experience.
